To really succeed with internet affiliate marketing, you need to implement a lot of different methods for building traffic, getting backlinks, creating content etc. etc. etc. Just using one or two techniques won’t really cut it in the long run. It requires a lot of work and good marketing techniques to create a site that makes substantial income.

Of course, I know you know this already (I hope!). But, researching and using all of these techniques efficiently can be an extremely daunting task.

Let me give you an example that you may have already experienced. Today, I decided it would be a good idea to draw out a “marketing mind map” to plan ahead what kind of promotion I would use and to estimate my costs. Since I’m not rich just yet , I want to be frugal, yet still make sure my sites get enough exposure to succeed.

So I outlined every marketing tool and technique I would use and how they all linked together. This spun off into a massive research session about how to do each of these things properly and such. By the end of the day, I was so overwhelmed with information and stuff I had to do that it actually started to get me down.
